Hello there ! Yes, the chatterbox is back to do a little update before heading off to the land of dreams ~
Apologies for the lack in updates because we are both horribly busy people,
okay no just kidding, we just did not find the appropriate day and time to update AND
yes it is sad but i am changing my job and therefore a change in work location WHICH MEANS
i will no longer be able to do lunchtime gym with my baobei BUT
when there is a will there will be a way (and i dont mean our usual training sessions) :>
Lack of updates in February because we haven't trained together for quite some time,
fell sick for a pretty long period of time since the Lunar New Year started,
and it took us awhile to get back to the gym again.
Shall do a flashback on the pictures.
26 February - Wednesday
Decided to give the west side a visit on my own as i had nothing to do for awhile before my new job takes over my life, so i popped by the new mall which is located right beside the Jurong East MRT station.
I guess the pool was something that caught my eye immediately upon entering the gym even though it is situated outside (and after reading the notice i figured it was not open for usage yet). The view is amazing, looks like a perfect place for outdoor exercising, swimming and tanning not forgetting photo taking :> Sent this photo to pam and we came to a conclusion that we will visit the west for this pool after it opens :)
Open concept spinning area (thought it was relatively big even though it does not have a room/class on its own). and they have so many self help videos to do your workout anytime so one does not need to wait for classes or the instructors to be present on the spot. Brilliant - but i didnt spin on the day because i had other programmes to complete.

Thought the gym was pretty small as compared to the floorplan i saw but it was relatively spacious and i love how it is empty and new :DDD
I believe everyone would love a nice and clean toilet to shower in so yes. the lockeroom.
Saw this and thought it was pretty cute ! Okay, maybe the other gyms has it but i haven't seen it yet, call me suaku but i think this is super thoughtful of the gym to have - for people who might have to straighten out their work attire after gymming this is perfect.
And a dryer for swimming costumes so one does not need to bring wet swimming costumes in the bag.
My favourite part of the new outlets - Grohe rain shower available :D

Boats - a sneak peak of the upcoming sports hub - water - pontoon - bunk
Training ground for most teams doing Dragonboating in Singapore,
probably because most boats are being stored in the nursery a walkable distance from the SDBA watersports area (the bunk as what we like to call it).
However, there are also dragonboating available in
- Bedok reservoir
- Lower seletar reservoir
- Pandan reservoir
- Sentosa (upon request)
- Marina barrage and Singapore river (races only)
So i guess that makes it convenient for anyone who would like to try the sport :DDD

For those who don't know me,
yes i love the colour pink.
But i also like the colours purple, blue, green, grey, white and black - just like pink a little more.
Some training essentials that are coincidentally in one of my favourite colours AND
i finally got the babies i was looking for, MONTHS & MONTHS of searching
and i bought my pair of ASICS GEL NIMBUS 14 in pink from Peninsular Plaza
Tons of models found in the shop (located at Level 2 and if i didn't remember wrongly the shop is called FEDER SPORTS), pam is waiting to get her pair of ASICS KAYANO 19 too :)

Second trials of the year today - lovehaterelationship, actually no love just hate.
It is so painful but we gotta do what we gotta do.
As what i quoted//
All trials are not the reason to give up, but a challenge to improve ourselves. Our pain is not an excuse to back out, but an inspiration to move on.
I guess climbing up is the only way and we can only get stronger with time and more training.
