Saturday self training
Saturday was spent without Josmin cause she had a late night and therefore wasn't at her 100% for the kayaking session at 730am in the morning. And I got another teammate, Zhenluan (ZL) with me instead. You might have seen her face in the earlier posts on this blog. So yes, she was the chosen one to paddle that morning.
Managed to venture out to the barrage! (: I guess having a zai partner helps mentally also. So that we can err... save each other (?) if anything happens LOL (in actual fact, we cannot rescue each other in a k1....) Haven't been out to the barrage before in a loooong while but coach recently implemented this ''MUST LEARN K1 AND BE PROFICIENT IN IT'' thing so all of us have been practicing in it. After having a mental blockage and refusing to paddle further than the fountain cause I was sooooo afraid to capsize and yes I did capsize a few times previously.. I was able to paddle out to Marina Barrage despite the choppy waves and suffered a few heart attacks in doing so. Plus it didn't help that the wind was blowing like crazy out there too. I was paddling very carefully haha making sure to brace water at the slightest feel of capsizing LOL #scaredycat BUT #achievementunlocked #somuchwin hehehehe. The sun was merciless while we paddled and it continue shining down on us after we ended paddling. It felt like forever but it was only about 50minutes HAHAHAHA we clocked about 5plus6km of water mileage I think. After keeping the boats and paddles, we put on our shoes and shades and went to clock a run. Yes, we have 22km of run to cover in a week. I was left with 10km while ZL was only left with 6km. We cleared 4km from our bunk to Sheares bridge and back. Timing too lousy to be annouced here so it shall only be kept between us. (NO PICTURES CAUSE I CANNOT ASSURE MY PHONE WILL BE INTACT AFTER KAYAKING AND I CANNOT POSSIBLY HOLD A HUGEASS PHONE (NOTE1) WHILE RUNNING) After all the paddling and run... We continued doing statics LOL pull ups, push ups, hanging toes to bar raises and v ups. (only pictures of ZL doing pull ups because she started first and I still had energy to use phone..) So... guest starring ZL doing pull ups. Lol will not go into technical aspects of pull ups. Pretty sure you people can google that and for the lazy, I have already included the links :p Disclaimer: We took awhile to be able to do pull ups too.. So don't be disheartened and keep practicing!
No prizes for guessing where we went after statics ): had alot of laps to clear for swimming too so we headed to...............
So this is the my new Throne on the bus. I think it's for the caregivers / helpers for the handicapped.
Disclaimer: No handicaps were on the bus that particular ride. And I think it's awesome to provide a space for the caregivers on the bus because we all know how packed it can get.
Went to Suntec after swimming and lunch and I bought myself a pair of pink goggles. No pictures because I cannot seem to align it! ): Hahaha went to Waterloo Street to meet MM after that to settle the pool cue stands and headed home..............
