Quality time spent with myself :P
Hello all ! I'm backkkkk :D Official training has been pushed back so that leaves me with an empty weekend (free-to-do-whatever-i-want-whereever-and-in-no-rush-for-anything). Feels really good y'know, to just have the weekends free and not have any appointments sometimes, then there is no rush to do anything and you can take all the time you need to relax ... Okay, back to topic. (I'll leave Friday's lunchtime outing for baobei to update you guys and jump straight to today) Headed down to Fitness First @ Tampines because i had to run some errands at Tampines Mall (goodness, so packed over the weekends and the customer service counter queue is crazy=/), okay that is besides the point. Am very pleased with my time spent there today - i remembered heading down once early last year to check out the gym and decide if i want to sign a membership - that kind of ended nowhere. This time, i am back, as a club member :DDD Well, FF outlets are mainly in the CBD area to cater to working adults, but if you live in the East i guess the outlet can be pretty convenient for you too. Anyway, if you click on the link to the FF website you get to see some snapshots of the gym, looks spacious and pretty right? Yup, the club looks exactly like the picture (usually the pictures are nice but the place ended up really small or crappy - this one is amazing, the pictures AND the club looks amazing). ![]() ![]() ![]()
Just some snapshots taken before RPM class, yup, spinning was my priority exercise so i was rushing my ass to get to the gym before the class starts (apparently it is also the last class of the day - 2pm). Was panicking when i haven't left house by 1230pm but the bus ride down was pretty bearable & quick today so yes, i am a happy girl. I love how spacious the cycling studio is (well, the one at ORQ is pretty small) so yes, in comparison this studio seems twice the size - did i mention i love the lights (PINK LIGHTS *inserts emoji with heart shaped eyes*). And i love the random quotes placed around the gyms to motivate people while they are exercising (will find a chance to steal more shots of the quotes at various gyms). Sometimes, we all just need a little reminder to endure, go further and push harder. Oh, in case some of you are wondering what is RPM or spinning, i've added the link above, but to put it simply - it is a class where you cycle on the spot but with different intensities (something like fartlek on a bicycle), am i making sense? ... I hope i am :>

1 Just my belongings and how i like to place my stuff during RPM :P I think i am a water tank ... i NEED to bring water into class (even though it is only 50minutes) because my mouth gets really dry & thirsty during class, Pam on the other hand... don't usually bring water in (and she scolds me for not being able to be a camel for just 50minutes :( )
2 My ugly-and-very-tired-face after class because... my legs are gone. Burnt & numb from spinning =/ But i have to admit it was a good workout and i felt really good after class. New gym outlet, new class, new instructor and teaching style, same toughness. Always remember: What doesn't kills you makes you stronger (Y)

Gym essentials: gym bag, protein (if i workout over 1.5hours), and a ton of other stuff inside the bag (which explains the size - maybe i'll do a what's in my gym bag post someday... just for fun :P)

Went for RPM class - RUN on the treadmill (even though i hated it to no end) - GYM & weights (back, core, shoulder muscles) - STATICS (bodyweight exercises such as pull ups, push ups, v ups, incline pull ups) for today. No workout pictures because i couldn't possibly be exercising and taking pictures or setting self timer everytime i were to start doing (then i wouldn't be focusing on my workout and just be busy with the pictures) - so a picture update the next time i head to the gym with le gym buddy :DD
Anyways, there's a picture of me ... with my monkey face after gym, just before i head for the shower (and rushing it a little because i didn't know the gym closes at 7pm on weekends and i was busy eating my sandwich and chilling in the pantry at 620pm - stopped eating my sandwich immediately after i hear the announcement that the club is closing in 30mins -.- and headed straight down to complete some more statics before i decide to go shower). Not the nicest body around, but am still working on it. Hopefully to tone it up and be leaner by the end of the year - of course the strength and endurance has to stay and i hope by building a stronger and healthier body, i would be able to perform better on water as well :) #2014goals&resolution #leanandmean #bodyunderconstuction #stillbuildingstrength #needtobuildalotmoreendurance #someprogressisbetterthannoprogress
