Back to the lunchtime gym duo :>

Just came back from a party and therefore the late post, BUT, always better late than never. Here's a recap on 2 of our gym dates.

Okay, sorry for the delay in updating, been really busy lately =/  Anyway, just a recap so here goes :)

Thursday - Fitness First @ One Raffles Quay (usual outlet and also my home outlet)
Felt like i haven't touched weights in a really long time with Pam so it feels really nice to be doing weights together - again :)

1. Benchpress with dumbbells - using a 14kg for the both of us.
I think pam's form is really good, note the 90 degree angle vs mine which is slightly lower than that,
remember not to overdo it.

2. Chest pullover, 14kg for pam and 10kg for myself.
Be careful when straightening your arm and make sure the weights are manageable so you don't strain your shoulder.

3. Benchpull, 14kg for pam and 16kg for myself.
Different people, different strength in different areas :>

4. Front shoulder raises, 6kg for the both of us.
Trains the shoulders/deltoid muscles

5. Rear raises

Starjumps videos will be up in near future post so do look out for it :>

And a mandatory shot after our refreshing showers - then back to work -.-

Friday - Fitness First @ Marketstreet (Flagship club and brand new)
Major love new gyms because the equipments are new, the area looks bigger and its just nice to see new facilities and equipments :P  Scanned our cards before proceeding to level 2 to exchange our cards for the locker passes and towels. The ladies room is HUGEEEE (or so i would think), probably because 1 it is empty 2 it is newly renovated so everything just looks nice - my apologies for the lack in photos because er no pictures are allowed (not that i really care i just forgot to take pictures really).

Statics friday for the gym duo so we did some medicine ball throws, pushups, vups, pullups, leg raises.

Tons of medicine ball throws, no chairs available so we used a bosu and a 4kg medicine ball to practice our twisting and explosiveness. Video will be up after i upload it :>

Pushups on a half bosu ball - just trying new stuff during our breaks

Vups on a bosu - tried it because we saw it on the interactive TV/training guide

Interactive TV with step by step guides on how to execute the exercises with the training equipments provided - this is within the 2nd floor of the club - just outside the changing rooms and i love the area because it has 'carpeted grass' . Haha, feels nice rolling around in it - okay i think i did that while resting between sets (stop judging uh)

Really love the wide area provided to do various exercises.
And i thought the music was pretty conducive for working out so there isn't a problem if you forgot to bring your ipod for your run/workout ;)

Cleared some statics after medicine ball - PUSHUPS.

Vups - not the best core exercise to start with because it requires coordination skills and a pretty strong core to begin with - simpler core exercises can be situps and leg raises (off ground - will do a picture demo soon)

Chin ups/ pull ups (I took close to 3 years to do my FIRST pull up so if you are new, just keep trying and don't give up - even if its halfway or 3/4 way, its progression so keep it up)

Hanging leg raise - parallel to the ground

Hanging leg raise - toes to bars (still working on perfect form so give us some time)

Manage to take time off to head over to market street outlet because i was on half day leave (or i would think its a little too far from my office =/).

And the mandatory post workout shots,
#matchingsportsbras #livestrong #blackandyellow

Okay, that's all from me for now.
Training resumes tomorrow (prances & skips around like a little girl),
kind of miss kallang quite a bit :>

More exciting programmes/workouts ahead, so till then
'The sky is the limit, keep trying, keep pushing, and keep wanting more.'
